Dear Beautiful Friends,

My brilliant, warm, fun, insightful, sunshiney, tell-it-like-it-is Beauty Hunting friend & master coach Stephanie Hardwick sent me this quote last week:

True beauty always contains a delicious dash of chaos.

Steph, a ferocious reader, plucked this sentence from a book she’s been bathing in called Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home, by Toko-pa Turner. I haven’t read it yet myself, but check it out:

Stephanie is a conversational artist. We have attended many coach trainings and workshops together, shared hotel rooms, and stayed up late talking and laughing, comparing notes, and basking in the mysterious adventure of living. And laughing, always laughing. One of Steph’s superpowers—aside from Doing Nothing (see video)—is being able to sum up a complex topic with precision and passion. She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s quick, she’s deep—all at once.

Here are a few topics we covered as we plunged ourselves into chaos:

  • Definitions of Beauty

  • Perfectionism (just say No)

  • Compulsions

  • Desires and wants

  • The loveliness of messiness

  • Country music

  • Not liking and liking the chaos, all at once!

One sentence from Stephanie can give you enough to chew on for an entire day—better than any collagen shake or green drink!

Don’t miss the transcript at the top of the page, in case you want to have the reading experience. Thank you for joining the convo, and drop your thoughts in the comments, we want to hear from you. xo

PS. Bloopers are beautiful

We don't always nail these vids out of the gate. Here’s a short outtake, in which I (privately) forgot my dear, dear, dear friend Stephanie’s last name, and just in case it helps to know: this kind of panic-forgetting happens all the time over here.
