Dear Beautiful Friends,
Did you know that you—yes YOU—are a creative powerhouse? That’s the crown you get to wear for no other reason than being alive. Whether you’re crafting a business proposal, painting a canvas, or opening up a cupboard to choose which bowl you will ladle soup into—even taking a breath (hello one more second of living!), creativity is innate in all of us. Ready to hear more?
Perfect. Welcome to Book Talk With Friends, and meet Stephanie, my good friend and “OK-ness Specialist.” We joined forces to talk about Rick Rubin’s goldmine of insights and good ideas, “The Creative Act: A Way of Being”. It really is a handbook on living. All the wisdom of the ages right here.
Stephanie is smart, funny, quick, and deep—all at fucking once. I’m a bit envious, to be honest. She can articulate complex ideas with dazzling precision and passion. She’s a true conversational artist. I watch, listen and learn from her. We’ve attended coach trainings and workshops together, shared hotel rooms and stayed up talking and laughing, comparing notes.
“We are so dead to awe! We are so amazing! Be more like a child.
Practice awe and making the miraculous ordinary every day.” —Steph
Get comfy, grab a coffee or take us for a walk. I dare you not to come away with a new idea to take into the world.
And please, tell us what strikes you, what chimes with you, what you might like to discuss in a future salon—where you can start to see yourself as creative in new and unsung ways. We love you! Xo
