Dear Beautiful Summer Camp-ers,

How are you?

How is the state of your mind and spirit these days?

How is the resting, relaxing, recreating, recouping, reviving et al going?

Here in the U.S., Election 2024 is going full loop-de-loop roller coaster feisty. Climate change is having its way with so many parts of the world. There’s more. Many people are angry, dispirited, scared shitless, despondent. I experience a cocktail of these emotions on a daily basis.

And also, there are moments of profound joy, awe, and appreciation. Love. Big love. For my husband; for the veteran I gave my sweet peas to. The receptionist at my co-working space. The magnificent Western Red Cedar in my front lawn would be sad if I didn’t find a sense of exaltation in her stature.
