Beauty Q&A With Minda Lane

The poetics of sex and a lot of other juicy goodies

Dear beautiful friends,

Have I got a titillating, juicy treat for you.

Iiiiiiiiit’s Minda Lane!

Some of you might have once known her as Melinda. Now, Minda.
Minda Lane.

In April, Minda published her book, Men, Myself, & I: Revelations of an Opened Marriage (A Memoir and How Not To) as a serial on Substack. It’s now available as an Amazon eBook. This is a story about a woman wrestling with her life’s competing desires: security and wildness. On one hand, she’s seeking a loving relationship and children. And she gets it! Hooray. And then! Something else, a tug, a pull, a tap-tap of dissatisfaction, a hunger. The call of the wild is awakening inside this domestic she-beast, and our narrator gives in to these feisty yearnings.

One lover for life isn’t going to cut it. And dear reader, you can read/listen to what happens when our narrator kicks open the door of her marriage.

Seattle, May, 55 degrees, can’t feel our feet, laughing anyway.

HERE’S WHAT’S REALLY COOL & UNUSUAL ABOUT THIS BOOK

This is not your typical story, nor is it your typical reading experience. Currently, you won’t find this on Amazon or in a bookstore. Instead, Minda has released “Men, Myself & I” on Substack, as an audio and in text form. And the book is being released one chapter a day. Spoiler alert? Not possible

For those of us who subscribed to “Men, Myself & I” from the beginning, we can experience the book like a serial. If you were to subscribe today you could binge-listen or read the chapters until you’re current, then give yourself over to the suspense and delight of daily drops. I’m enjoying the audio; Minda is a wonderful narrator. (Subscribe here.)

WE COULDN’T STOP

This Beauty Hunter Q&A turned into a free-for-all (thematically appropriate!) after the first “define beauty” question. We blew past the typical time limit of 10 minutes, and talked for almost 50 about love, marriage, sex, life’s surprises, what it’s like to publish a book outside the mainstream, and how telling such an intimate story changes a person.

We consider “astrology fluidity.” This is what a deep convo looks like.

We had such a meandering fun conversation. I know you’ll love where Minda will take you on this exploration. Sit back, hit play, and ENJOY.

PS. I tried something that failed.
Ignore what I say about the free / paid video portions.
I was going to have a clip for free subscribers and then dive into something extra for paid subscribers but I can’t get the preview thingy to work. So everyone gets the whole thing. And I’m glad.

You can subscribe to Men, Myself & I now, at Substack.

Purchase the Kindle release at Amazon.
