Three Beautiful Things
I saw the planets aligning on a walk to get cough syrup while fretting about the State of the World.
The winter vibe at Beauty Hunter is: more exultation of the senses and fewer words. May these delights give you grounding, lighten your load, and expand your capacity.
Dear Beautiful Friends,
Because BEAUTY gives us a rest from a challenged nervous system, here are three Beautiful Things for you this Sunday. I figure we could use a lot of sensory relief right now.

I’ve had a stubborn cold the last 10 days, punctuated by a cough that seems to be enjoying its stay in my lungs. An upside: One evening, when the planets were aligning, I walked to the store for some cough syrup. I was treated to my favorite time of day, dusk, and a sky filled with planets. I pulled out my sky gazer app and identified Jupiter, Venus, and Mars. Mars, as usual, was a sparkling gold.

Artist Discovery of the Week
I discovered the delicious work of Italian painter, Cinzia Battistel, as featured at Saatchi Art. I love her landscapes, seas, and dreamy titles. The colors are the perfect pick-me-up for winter. This one is “The History of the Lands Is Written in Landscapes.”

You can find a link to Cinzia Battistel’s art at Saachi Art. FYI, I’m not her agent, I’m not suggesting you buy anything. I use the WWW as an art gallery at my fingertips, and love languishing in what I find, and bring back some pearls for you.
Here’s another piece I wrote about paintings I love.

I somehow discovered this podcast, and found this conversation about anxiety enlightening and helpful. Years ago a Wise Woman prescribed curiosity to me, as a way of quelling my anxiety, worrying, fear, & co. Did you ever think that the act of worrying is actually a temporary relief from anxiety?
“Join renowned scientists Dr. Heather Berlin and Dr. Christof Koch on the Science of Perception Box, where they delve into the Perception Box—a powerful metaphor created by Elizabeth R. Koch, that reveals how our beliefs, biases, and neural wiring shape our reality and define how we experience the world.”
This is your friendly reminder that ou are part of the natural-animal world, loaded up with enormous resources, a gigantic system intelligence, and you are OK.
