Never Will I Ever, Oh Never Mind

Dear Beautiful Friends,

Happy First Day of Summer!

Or Winter, to my S. Hemisphere Family.

And…. Let Our Summer Enchantments / Goals / Intentions / Projects begin!

I’m going to let this video do the talking today. See if it offers up ideas. In short:

• One of my “Summer Enchantments” is embarking on something I’ve never wanted to do.

• It’s Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. I’m doing the book, but I’ve linked to Julia Cameron’s website where there are courses and all kinds of goodies. Have you done it? What did you think, what difference did it make?

• I cringe every time I read the word “affirmation” but the three pages of daily journaling is like letting the wings out and seeing more.

Some other items on my Summer 2023 Enchantments list:

1. Revise and finish the memoir manuscript. I don’t feel the fire, to be honest.

2. Do The Artist’s Way for 12 weeks, and see what happens. This feels doable. I will probably skip a lot of the action items, but will read each chapter and do the morning pages and artist date.

3. Race a 200-meter long course butterfly on July 1. Scroll of firsts! This really falls under the category of: Terrible idea. What time? Also category of: Have been talking about it for years, now’s the time.

4. Create some new salons, courses, coaching packages for fall. New as in: haven’t offered before. New as in: Do I have to? New as in: Go to the edges. See what happens.

5. Conduct a soft break-up with my phone. “Soft” because I won’t give it up, but it needs to be put away more, because that damn phone is decimating my attention span.
   
   How about you?
   
   HERE’S THE THING. You can start any time. Summer [Winter] is three beautiful months, and if you want to spend the first week or month moving your way into an enchantment, go for it. I’m here, we’re here, and the pop-up salons will be in play.
