This is the final installment of Beauty Hunter Summer Camp, even though it feels like fall for many of us. For 12 weeks, we re-imaged how we might Rest, Relax, Recreate, Recuperate—and any other “R” you fancied. How’d it go?
Dear Beautiful Friends,
It’s time to wrap up the first R&R Summer Camp, where we experimented with new ways to rest, relax, recreate, rejuvenate—and any other R that adds a wag to your tail, especially if you’re feeling pooped and disenchanted.
If you want to review your R&R events calendar, go here.
This week’s Camp Farewell is brought to you by Week 9’s SAY YES.
Want to go to a Pink concert with me?
ARE YOU READY?
Of all the R&R camp activities, Saying Yes became my jam. I said YES, unless I had a good reason for No, and the No had to be a Yes to something else, and then I simply rested into the YES, no second guessing or ruminating over whether it was really a good idea to blah de blah good god what a pain in the ass I am to myself, just writing that tired me out. The Yes No Turning Back was restful, and exciting.
So off I went to see Pink at Rogers Arena in my favorite city, Vancouver B.C., (thanks Krisin!) where my senses were so exalted, my mind so blown, I was picking up the confetti pieces of my brain at the end of the show.
Many of you already know Pink’s greatness, but I was a Pink virgin. My mouth was open almost the entire two hours. I was moved-to-tears exalted, like WHAT IS HAPPENING ON STAGE THROUGH THIS HIGH PRIESTESS ARTIST AND HER TROUP?
Dear Pink,
You are a bad-ass, joyful, rebel goddess of love.
I want to come over one morning, bring you coffee and hang out stretching on the floor with you, getting all philosophical about LIFE while swearing and laughing, talking about our favorite candy, and going through your wardrobe.
Pink is a former gymnast. After seeing Cher in concert, she was smitten with the stunt/aerialists in the show, and wanted to do that—and sing. In order to qualify for training, she had to hang upside down from a jungle gym and get punched in the stomach while singing. See Pink talking about it here.
And now: three short vids from her anthem, “So What.” Rebellious and beautiful; tantrum-y and ethereal:
Here’s Pink serenading bassist Eva Gardner:
This looks like a musical meeting of great minds.
A week later, I’m still singing Pink songs 🎶
This was my Pink gateway song—a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit.”
Fall, we’re coming for you❣️
Blow up a sticky belief block or two that’s holding you back.
If you want to make a change, explore one-on-one, use beauty as a portal to kick up some cool change without SUFFERING, I’ll be opening up more coaching spots—drop ins, trinity packages and longer offerings.
What’s a favorite concert that blew your mind?
Have you seen Pink?
