That Book You've Been Meaning to Write?

Start, return to or finish a creative project with other beauties

Dear Beautiful, Creative Friends,

I love preparing for salons because the process invites me into new frontiers. And it takes me right into the eye of the creativity storm, one we’ll be staring down in this fall’s early 2024 called the Writers’ Studio.

There is always a period of: AM I REALLY GOING TO DO THIS? And FUCK, I don’t want to. Who cares, no one will come. Can I call it good and NOT DO ANYTHING EVER AGAIN?

[In the Creators’ Salon, we will allow ourselves to experience all this cockamamie resistance while venturing forward, exploring, and making art. Also, while sharing and learning from each others’ experiences—this is the GOLD.]

While we focus on one project, we’re also going to enter our own dreamtimes, and work our negative capability muscles (a Keatsian state of allowing ourselves to experience the world of uncertainty, doubt, mystery, fear, magic… )

If you want a sample, come to the Playful Writing pop-up salons this month.
Three more Tuesdays, 9 - 10 am PDT. Register here.

The Creators’ Salon was developed with my creative professional friends in mind, those of you feeling the call to make something artful, share your expertise, or write stories/books that inspire, entertain or do a combo of both.

Consultant, coach, entrepreneur, healthcare worker, writer, digital pro, domestic artist, fine artist, retired, raring to write your first novel—this space is for you.

The only requirement is your commitment to initiate a project and stick with it throughout our 3.5-month journey. It doesn't have to be a finished masterpiece. It’s not about finishing but staying dedicated to a project to the end of our time together.

The salon will bring together an intimate group of eight people max who will explore and create in a warm, open, encouraging, and playful (online) space.

You can read more about the Creators’ Salon here.

At The Creators’ Salon, we'll appreciate the beauty of the journey. We'll confront our doubts, toss them into the backseat, roll down the window, and shout "onward" as we traverse the vast universe. We'll make incredible things happen! Our focus will be on the process itself, not solely on the outcome—this is where the magic truly lies. And as a result, we'll have an inspiring body of work to share.
