Oh beautiful for spacious souls,
How would you describe FUN in six words?
We used ye olde six-work story prompt in the Humor, Play & Fun salon (thanks, Kelli!) to throw down some ideas of What Fun Means to each of us.
Then we put it to the paper fortune teller game. Remember that one? I had to use a YouTube video refresh my memory on how to make a little oragami favorite of childhood.
In the video I play a solo game, and choose Number Eight. Guess what was behind Door No 8? A possible meaning of life, and I’m not pulling your leg.
Try this: come up with your own definition of fun. Something ordinary. In which fun doesn’t have to be an event but an experience. Then, go for a walk and let your mind wander on the theme of Fun as the Purpose of Life. Imagine a world (or a team, a job, a family) where everyone is focused on “fun”. What would it be to add 3% more fun to daily life activities. AND, P.S.: if you’re not having fun, that’s great too. Don’t force it. Fun is there for you when you’re ready, and will pop out from behind a tree for moments of relief as you grind through a hard phase. We love you! Xo
